About ODCA North America

The Ossing Development and Cultural Association (ODCA North America) is a nonprofit charitable organization uniting sons, daughters, and friends of Ossing Village in Cameroon who reside in the United States and Canada. Guided by the motto “Development through Partnerships,” ODCA promotes the socio-economic, educational, and cultural advancement of Ossing people while preserving their heritage and values. Through community projects, cultural programs, and partnerships, ODCA supports sustainable development in Ossing Village and fosters unity, mutual respect, and social responsibility among its members in North America and beyond.

Purpose of the Organization

The Ossing Development and Cultural Association (ODCA North America) was established by citizens of Ossing Village (Cameroon) residing in North America (USA & Canada) to:

ODCA North America achieves its mission through:

• Community development projects (e.g., infrastructure, health, education, and clean water initiatives).
• Fundraising and partnerships with donors, affiliates, and other organizations.
• Biannual National Conventions to deliberate on policies, elect leaders, and review projects.
• Branch-level engagement across U.S. and Canadian states to coordinate local activities.
• Cultural and social programs preserving Ossing traditions and promoting unity.
• Member welfare support, including death benefits, social assistance, and community solidarity.
• Educational outreach to promote civic values and youth involvement.
• Collaborative governance through a Board of Directors, National Executive Officers, National Executive Council, and branch structures ensuring accountability and transparency.
